In late 1995, we began researching aspects of digital sound and image manipulation, and began forecasting future technology trends and the role the internet would have on media consumption and the rise of digital video. As a result, a number of patents were filed related to video navigation using icons, and the ideas around video tagging and advertising.
After these forecasts became modern day truisms, we set about focussing on what we saw would be the major problem with this enormous influx of digital video; how it is processed and managed, and how to use video events. Concentrating on the answers to this problem led to the development of Edit: Event Driven Interactive Technology.
Since the 1990s we have added significantly to our patent portfolio in a variety of affiliated areas in primary international territories, whilst further researching the possible effects on growing markets, and following the huge impact of digital video on the internet and its subsequent effect on the broadcast, mobile, desktop and other industries we have been developing a product that provides the end to end solution to deal with the problem of such a huge influx, and more importantly, how to add value to industries that rely and trade on digital video.
