In late 1995, we began researching aspects of digital sound and image manipulation, and began forecasting future technology trends and the role the internet would have on media consumption and the rise of digital video. As a result of this intensive period of research and development, a number of patents were filed related to video navigation using icons, and the ideas around video tagging and advertising.
Moving that body of work into products saw the development of a number of key platform technologies, applications and services that address 21st century market concerns.
